DO YOU QUALIFY?


DEMONSTRATION OF NEED 

Families must fall below the low-income limits for Grand and San Juan County, Utah.  The following is based on US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) 2008 income limits:


    1 person         2 person        3 person         4 person         5 person

    $32,200          $36,800          $41,400          $46,000           $49,700


EMPLOYMENT AND RESIDENCY 

One member of the family must be a full-time employee in Moab, Utah and must have at least 2 years of employment history in Moab, Utah.


ABILITY TO REPAY DEBT  
Applicants must be be income and credit approved during a loan pre-qualification process.

CONDITION OF HOME  (for our dilapidated housing replacement program)

Any of the following homes qualify for our replacement program:

  -Manufactured homes built prior to June 15, 1976  

  -Dilapidated post-1976 manufactured homes 

  -Dilapidated standard framed homes

*These structures must be owned by the qualifying family and must exist on land owned by the applicant.








APPLICATION PROCESS


Please take a moment to complete and submit the following participant information form to begin your file with us.

1) LOAN PRE-QUALIFICATION 

Families must be pre-qualified for a mortgage loan of up to $100,000 through a lender of their choice.  Families are encouraged to apply with USDA Rural Development (low-interest loans for low income applicants).


2) SUBMIT REQUIRED DOCUMENTS 

The family must present a pre-qualification/determination letter from the lender as well as a signed release of information form allowing Community Rebuilds to review all loan documents.


3) SITE VISIT  (for our dilapidated housing replacement program)

A representative from Community Rebuilds must visit the family's site and document findings to be reviewed by the board of directors.


4) INTERVIEW WITH COMMUNITY REBUILDS BOARD 

The family must be approved by the board of directors, and the family must decide if the Community Rebuilds program is right for them.  The family must consider if the new home will satisfy its needs, agree to the design of the home, and agree that the construction process, timeline, and temporary housing arrangements are acceptable.
