CALLING ALL INTERESTED STUDENTS:

An internship with Community Rebuilds is more than just 'building'. It is a semester of sustainable living. Interns will be provided housing. They will tour existing alternative homes of Moab. They will attend workshops presented by alternative builders of all sorts. They will spend time in the classroom studying the building techniques they will utilize. They will have the opportunity to participate in the many sustainable activities that occur in Moab. They will be encouraged to discover the wonderful nature and history of the Southwest. And of course, they will volunteer under the direction of a general contractor to assist in the construction of a low income home.

Interns must commit to a 4 1/2 month internship in Moab (either August 1-December 15  OR  January 15-May 30). Our students need not be affiliated with a college or university. HOWEVER if our students arrange this internship as part of their college studies, it is our goal to formulate a contract with their professor to assure that they receive college credit for their participation.

Spring 2010: We are now recruiting 8 interns to participate in our Spring 2010 semester.
