With the success of our two builds in Colorado, Community Rebuilds decided to continue its efforts to provide affordable housing to the workforce of this region by launching a pilot program in Bluff, Utah. Construction of our single story straw bale home will be complete by the end of the 2018 year. We have plans to continue building in this community. The next Bluff build is scheduled to start in the Fall of 2019.

With the Bears Ears National Monument, Countless Archeological Sites, and San Juan River located right outside Bluff's city limits, San Juan County, UT is becoming an increasingly desirable place to visit. With more and more people buying property and using that property as second homes or short term rentals, the imbalance in supply and demand has made it challenging to find a home on the market for a price that is reasonable for the people who actually live and work in Bluff. Making Homeownership nearly impossible for members of the community.

Use the interactive map below to see where all of our Moab homes are located:

If you have lived in Bluff for at least two years, you could be eligible to build with Community Rebuilds. The other initial eligibility requirement is that you are considered low or very-low income. Click here to see the current income limits for San Juan County, UT set by USDA Rural Development.

Do you fall in that range? Get started on your application for the Community Rebuilds Homeownership Program. Struggling to afford a home, but above the income limit? Deductions may be applicable, so we strongly encourage you to still apply.
